About Me

Hi, I’m Marcos Rivera. The writer behind No Fluff AI Tools.

Why I started No Fluff AI Tools

A few years ago, I watched a friend who runs a small landscaping business spend an entire weekend trying to figure out how to use ChatGPT. He’d read three different blog posts, watched two YouTube tutorials, and ended up more confused than when he started.

The information was out there, but it was either written for developers using technical jargon, or it was hype-driven content that promised AI would “revolutionize his business” without ever explaining how to actually use it.

That’s the gap I’m trying to fill.

No Fluff AI Tools exists for the small business owners, freelancers, and everyday professionals who don’t have time to wade through technical documentation or marketing fluff. You want to know which AI tools are worth your money, how to use them in your actual workday, and whether they’ll save you time or just add another subscription to your credit card statement.

That’s what I write about.

What You’ll Find Here

Every article on this site falls into one of six areas:

  • AI Writing Tools — Honest reviews of tools like ChatGPT, Jasper, and Copy.ai for content creation.
  • AI for Productivity — Apps and workflows that genuinely save time, not the ones that just promise to.
  • ChatGPT Guides — Beginner-friendly tutorials and prompts for getting real value out of ChatGPT.
  • AI for Small Business — Practical applications for solopreneurs and small teams.
  • AI Tool Comparisons — Head-to-head reviews so you can pick the right tool the first time.
  • Beginner Tutorials — Step-by-step guides for people who’ve never used AI before.

No matter which category you start with, the goal is the same: practical, no-jargon, written for real people running real businesses.

How I Test and Review

Small business owner working at a laptop in a warm home office, exploring AI tools for his business.

Here’s what makes No Fluff AI Tools different from the dozens of “Best AI Tools” listicles flooding the internet right now:

I actually use the tools. Every tool I review gets at least two weeks of real-world testing before I write about it. If I haven’t used it for an actual business task, it doesn’t get reviewed.

I tell you when something isn’t worth it. A lot of AI review sites are essentially affiliate machines that recommend whatever pays the highest commission. I’d rather lose the affiliate income than send you toward a tool that wastes your money. When something underdelivers, I say so.

I focus on small business reality. Most AI content is written by tech reviewers who use these tools for blog posts and Twitter threads. I’m focused on what actually matters when you’re running a business: time savings, ease of use, integration with the tools you already have, and ROI on the subscription cost.

I update my reviews. AI tools change fast. Pricing shifts, features get added, performance changes. I revisit my top reviews every few months to make sure the recommendations still hold up.
